Mio MiVue 956WD 4K Dual Wi-Fi Dash Cam

Product Code: MIV956WD

Mio logo
Mio MiVue 956WD 4K dual Wi-Fi dash cam

The Mio MiVue 956WD pairs the 4K flagship MiVue 956W front camera with the MiVue E40 rear camera as standard. The front camera records 4K 2160p at 30fps with HDR (or 2.5K 1440p at 60fps), using an 8-megapixel sensor and F2.0 aperture, while the rear camera records Full HD 1080p at 30fps with HDR via its own Sony STARVIS 2 sensor and an F1.8 aperture.

Both cameras offer a 140-degree wide-angle view, with recording between the front and rear units synchronised for a complete, matched record of what happens ahead of and behind your vehicle.

Integrated Wi-Fi with QR code pairing makes it quick to connect the MiVue 956WD to the MiVue Pro app, while integrated GPS provides Safety Camera Warnings and Average Speedcam Alert as you drive.

Parking Mode is available as an option: pairing the MiVue 956WD with the optional MiVue SmartBox (sold separately) enables 2-in-1 Parking Mode for round-the-clock protection while your vehicle is left unattended.

Don't need a rear camera? See the single-camera Mio MiVue 956W, or add a MiVue E80D interior and rear camera with the Mio MiVue 956W + E80 Dash Cam Bundle.

The Mio MiVue 956WD is the dual-camera version of Mio's 4K flagship dash cam, combining the 956W front unit with the MiVue E40 rear camera as standard fitment.

The front camera records 4K 2160p at 30fps with HDR (or 2.5K 1440p at 60fps), using an 8-megapixel 1/1.7-inch sensor and F2.0 aperture, while the rear MiVue E40 records Full HD 1080p at 30fps with HDR through its own Sony STARVIS 2 sensor and F1.8 aperture, for strong low-light performance behind the vehicle too.

Parking Mode is available as an option: pairing the MiVue 956WD with the optional MiVue SmartBox (sold separately) enables 2-in-1 Parking Mode, so your vehicle is protected while parked as well as on the move.

A 3-axis G-sensor detects impacts and automatically protects the relevant footage from being overwritten, whether recorded by the front camera or the MiVue E40 rear camera.

The Mio MiVue 956WD microSD card should be Class U3 or V30 (or above), up to 256GB. A microSD card is not included in the box.

Synchronized recording for extreme clarity

The Mio MiVue 956WD front camera captures 4K 2160p footage at 30fps with HDR from an 8-megapixel sensor, while the MiVue E40 rear camera records Full HD 1080p with HDR. Recording between the two cameras is synchronised, giving you a complete, matched record of events front and rear.

Sharper images with HDR recording

HDR recording automatically blends multiple exposures of the same frame on both cameras, producing brighter, sharper images with reduced noise, particularly useful when driving between bright sunlight and shaded or tunnel sections.

Average Speedcam Alert

The Mio MiVue 956WD calculates your remaining time, distance and average speed as you pass through an average-speed camera zone, helping you stay within the limit for the whole stretch of road.

Please note: Safety camera database excludes France, Germany, Switzerland and Turkey.

The complete package: MiVue E40 rear cam included

Unlike buying a 4K front-only dash cam and adding a rear camera later, the Mio MiVue 956WD includes the MiVue E40 rear camera as standard. The E40 uses its own Sony STARVIS 2 sensor and a 140-degree wide-angle lens to record Full HD 1080p footage with HDR, giving you clear coverage of your rear blind spot as well as the road ahead.

Front and rear footage recorded by the Mio MiVue 956WD is backed up to the MiVue Pro app synchronously, so you always have a matched pair of clips from both cameras for any given event.

Change the settings and format the memory card of the Mio MiVue 956WD directly through your smartphone. You can also use your compatible smartphone to download and update the firmware, speed camera data and voice versions without having to remove the memory card (downloading data will use your mobile data allowance). Please note: the update settings may vary depending on the different Mio dash cam models.

Super Capacitor for extreme conditions

In place of a traditional battery, the Mio MiVue 956WD uses a built-in SuperCap. This is more resistant to temperature extremes than a standard lithium battery, and protects your last recording if power to the dash cam is suddenly cut.

This is a sophisticated electronic device. It is important to read, understand, and follow the instructions provided in the user manual. To ensure optimal performance, you will need internet access and should regularly download and install firmware and software updates as recommended by the manufacturer. Like all GPS devices, it requires a clear view of the sky to connect with satellites, so be aware that certain vehicle glass or enclosures may block or reduce GPS signal reception.

Updates for this device are delivered via the internet. This page provides information on compatibility with current devices such as PCs, laptops, Macs, and smartphones. Under the Consumer Contract Regulations, you have 14 days from receipt of purchase to verify compatibility with your internet-connected device. Please note that if you later replace or upgrade your PC, Mac, or smartphone, neither ActiveGPS nor the manufacturer can guarantee compatibility with the new operating system.
