High-quality Garmin City Navigator series mapping provides clear maps for simple navigation to the inputted destination especially with the latest screen WSVGA colour TFT with white backlight which uses the latest technology for clear mapping and onscreen directions. You can add additional country mapping or update the existing European maps anytime you desire (e.g. North America, Australia, South Africa and more). Type in addresses to find destination and find millions of POIs. If you misspell you are provided with suggestions that are similar to what you are typing which may be what you are intending to type so exact match searches are not essential.

Installation

The Garmin DriveSmart 76 includes everything you need to mount and install it in your car. Included when you purchase from ActiveGPS is a suction cup mount to make installing and removing your DriveSmart 76 simple, quick and easy.

The most popular place to locate the satnav is at the bottom, middle of the windscreen where you can see the satnav easiest. Plus the satnavs dash cam will have a good view of the road ahead.

It is also possible to add a reversing camera to your vehicle with the Garmin DriveSmart 76 screen acting as a monitor. This is an optional extra. Two different Garmin Back-Up Cameras (BC) are compatible with the Garmin DriveSmart 76, these are the Garmin BC40 reversing camera and Garmin BC50 reversing cameras.

Map Coverage

Garmin DriveSmart 76 is preloaded with City Navigator NT mapping for Full Europe (UK and Ireland, Western and Eastern Europe).

These maps can be updated FREE for the life of the product, when you register your DriveSmart 76 with Garmin UK.

here maps provide high quality detailed street level maps, which in addition to street information include features such as route calculation, Points of Interest (POI), Estimated Time of Arrival, and more.

This product is a sophisticated electronic device which requires that you read, understand, and act upon the information given in the instruction manual (usually available via the above 'manual' link). You will need internet access and, in accordance with the manufacturers’ recommendations, regularly seek out and accept all firmware or software updates offered by the manufacturer. If you choose to replace or update your PC, MAC etc. neither we nor the manufacturer will be responsible if the new/replacement Operating System (OS) is not compatible with the purchased product.

Garmin DriveSmart 76 Questions and Answers

Question: "Home charger" for Garmin Drivesmart 76 (Sat Nav 7"). Cannot find a charger for "76" model. Please inform if you have them for sale and where to obtain? Or can it only be charged in the car?

Answer: Garmin have recently released a USB-C AC Adapter (pictured right) for use with the Garmin DriveSmart 76.

However, unlike previous Garmin mains chargers. Garmin DO NOT include a USB-C cable to connect between the AC charger and your Garmin DriveSmart 76. Garmin confirm the reason for this being that the USB-C AC Adapter can be used with different sat navs and devices requiring a variety of different cables/connections.

Garmin have advised that the USB-C cable required to connect to the Garmin sat nav range are not currently available to buy from Garmin.
