Mio MiVue MP30 GPS Dual 2.5K Helmet Camera

Product Code: MIVMP30G

Mio logo
Mio MiVue MP30 GPS dual 2.5K helmet camera

The Mio MiVue MP30 GPS is a self-contained, battery-powered dual-camera helmet camera, with front and rear lenses recording synchronously. It is a distinct product from the motorcycle-mounted Mio MiVue M820WD.

Recording quality is 2.5K 1440p at 30fps, or Full HD 1080p at 60fps (double the data density of 30fps for smoother footage at speed), or 1080p at 30fps with HDR, all via a 4M sensor.

The buckle-and-go magnetic mount starts recording automatically the moment the camera is attached, and switches to standby after 3 minutes of inactivity, so there are no buttons to press mid-ride.

A 3200mAh battery delivers up to 4.5 hours of continuous recording from a 200-minute charge. The MP30 GPS has an IP67 waterproof metal casing and fortified glass lenses, integrated GPS tracking with time and location auto-calibration, and integrated Wi-Fi for MiVue Pro app backup.

Looking for a motorcycle-mounted option instead of a helmet camera? See the Mio MiVue M820WD, or browse the full Mio dash cam range.

The Mio MiVue MP30 GPS is a self-contained, battery-powered buckle-mount helmet camera, recording front and rear footage synchronously without any separate control unit or in-vehicle wiring to fit.

Recording quality is 2.5K 1440p at 30fps, or Full HD 1080p at 60fps for smoother footage at speed, or 1080p at 30fps with HDR, all via a 4M sensor on both the front and rear cameras.

A buckle-and-go magnetic mount handles power automatically: the MP30 GPS starts recording the instant it clips onto the mount, and drops to standby after 3 minutes without movement.

A 3-axis G-sensor automatically detects impacts, and a 3200mAh battery delivers up to 4.5 hours of continuous recording between charges.

The Mio MiVue MP30 GPS microSD card should be Class U3, V30 or above, up to 256GB. Choose the base bundle without a card, or the 128GB tier with a high-endurance card included as standard.

Undisputable 2.5K footage, front and rear

The Mio MiVue MP30 GPS records at 2.5K 1440p resolution, capturing every detail on both the front and rear cameras, or Full HD 1080p at 60fps for crystal-clear footage at high speed. A 1080p 30fps HDR option is also available for high-contrast light, both via the 4M sensor.

Buckle and go

Magnetic-sensing auto power on/off means recording begins the instant the camera clips onto the mount, and the MP30 GPS drops to standby after 3 minutes without movement, so there is nothing to switch on or off mid-ride.

Not afraid of rain when riding

The Mio MiVue MP30 GPS has an IP67 waterproof design across the entire device, with a metal casing and fortified glass lenses, built to keep recording through any weather.

Ride with no fear: 4.5 hours of recording

A 3200mAh battery gives up to 4.5 hours of continuous recording on a single charge, with a full charge taking around 200 minutes, so the MP30 GPS is ready for long rides.

The Mio MiVue MP30 GPS clips onto the supplied 3M buckle mount fitted to the helmet, and recording starts automatically via magnetic sensing the moment the camera attaches. It charges via the supplied USB-C cable.

There is no microSD card in the box. You will therefore need to buy a microSD card separately.

MiVue Pro App

The MiVue Pro App is designed for use with the Mio MiVue MP30 GPS. You can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Once installed on your compatible smartphone, connect via integrated Wi-Fi for fast, cable-free backup of your footage, and use Live View to check the camera is levelled correctly before you set off.

Footage is organised into Normal and Event folders, and any interrupted transfer resumes automatically rather than starting again from scratch.

Change the settings and format the memory card of the Mio MiVue MP30 GPS directly through your smartphone, and download over-the-air firmware updates without having to remove the memory card. Please note: the update settings may vary depending on the different Mio dash cam models.

Waterproof design built for the ride

The Mio MiVue MP30 GPS carries an IP67 waterproof rating across the whole device, with a metal casing and fortified glass lenses to withstand the elements. Buckle-and-go simplicity means the camera attaches and detaches quickly between rides, with no cabling to disconnect.

This is a sophisticated electronic device. It is important to read, understand, and follow the instructions provided in the user manual. To ensure optimal performance, you will need internet access and should regularly download and install firmware and software updates as recommended by the manufacturer. Like all GPS devices, it requires a clear view of the sky to connect with satellites, so be aware that certain vehicle glass or enclosures may block or reduce GPS signal reception.

Updates for this device are delivered via the internet. This page provides information on compatibility with current devices such as PCs, laptops, Macs, and smartphones. Under the Consumer Contract Regulations, you have 14 days from receipt of purchase to verify compatibility with your internet-connected device. Please note that if you later replace or upgrade your PC, Mac, or smartphone, neither ActiveGPS nor the manufacturer can guarantee compatibility with the new operating system.
