The Garmin zumo XT displays three distinct and different types of Garmin maps; Garmin street-level road maps (City Navigator), off-road topo maps and Birdseye Satellite Imagery maps. Preloaded maps include coverage for UK and full Europe (Eastern and Western Europe). Future Garmin City Navigator road maps updates are included.
The Garmin zumo XT features built-in Bluetooth technology which enable you to make and receive hands-free calls.
The Garmin zumo XT also includes a comprehensive preloaded POI (Point Of Interest) database with data from Tripadvisor and Foursquare. The Garmin zumo XT can also be paired with the Garmin zumo XT Group Ride Tracker. Once installed the Garmin zumo XT Group Ride Tracker enables you to share your location, send pre-defined messages e.g. "On my way", "Meet me here", etc. You can also share live route tracking and create and join group rides with up to 20 other Garmin zumo XT users.
Music or audio files can be streamed via a compatible smartphone or stored on the Garmin zumo XT 32GB internal storage. Music and/or turn-by-turn directions are sent from the Garmin zumo XT via Bluetooth through to a connected helmet or headset.
Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity makes it easy to keep the preloaded maps and software up to date without using a computer. Onscreen cues show when new updates are available.

The Garmin zumo XT motorcycle sat nav from Garmin is the successor from a line of leading and ground-breaking Garmin zumo motorcycle sat navs including the popular Garmin zumo 550 and Garmin zumo 660 models. The Garmin zumo XT will provide spoken turn-by-turn directions through your connected helmet or headset. On-screen navigation is via the Garmin zumo XT impressive 5.5-inch crisp HD resolution display which is brighter than previous models and can be seen in any light. When the zumo XT backlight is set at 100% brightness, the battery lasts up to 3.5 hours, but this can be extended up to 6 hours on regular settings. Alternatively the Garmin zumo XT can be hardwired to your motorbikes electrical supply for longer journeys.
As with previous Garmin zumo models the zumo XT touchscreen display is glove-friendly. However, another first for the Garmin zumo XT is the fact that the 5.5-inch display can be viewed in either landscape or portrait mode (see photos above).
The Garmin zumo XT is compatible with and provides access to three different types of Garmin mapping:
1. Garmin City Navigator maps - these maps feature turn-by-turn street-level detail for all of UK, Western and Eastern Europe preloaded. What's more these preloaded maps can be updated free of charge. Should you want to use your Garmin zumo XT somewhere else in the World, additional Garmin City Navigator map are available to purchase from ActiveGPS. Countries / map regions include: North America (USA and Canada), Middle East and Northern Africa, Australasia (Australia and New Zealand).

3. Birdseye Satellite Imagery - the Garmin zumo XT is supplied with access to global Birdseye Satellite Imagery with downloads via Wi-Fi and with no annual subscription to pay.
Within the Garmin zumo XT's onscreen menu you can quickly and easily toggle between on-road maps, topographic (off-road) maps and BirdsEye Satellite Imagery, so you can always have the perfect map for your ride.
As you ride the Garmin zumo XT will provide rider alerts, these include warnings to hazards along your route, such as upcoming sharp bends, speed changes and more.
The Garmin zumo XT features built-in Bluetooth technology which enable you to make and receive hands-free calls. Simply download the Garmin Drive app on your compatible smartphone and pair your smartphone with the Garmin zumo XT. Once paired you can also view smart notifications on your Garmin zumo XT 5.5-inch display as well.
With the Garmin zumo XT Track Recorder feature you can record your route and save or share it for future adventures.
The Garmin zumo XT also includes a comprehensive POI (Point Of Interest) database. Databases you can access include Tripadvisor traveller ratings for hotels, restaurants and attractions along your route or near your destination. Plus iOverlander POIs and millions of popular places, thanks to Foursquare.
You can stream music via your compatible smartphone through the Garmin zumo XT navigator, or play MP3 files stored on the Garmin zumo XT internal 32GB storage. Audio files can then be played via your connected helmet or headset.
The Garmin zumo XT can be paired with a compatible Garmin inReach satellite communicator e.g. Garmin inReach Mini 2. Once paired this feature enables two-way messaging, location sharing and, in case of emergencies, SOS capabilities via the compatible Garmin inReach handheld device and the Garmin zumo XT motorcycle sat nav.

The Garmin zumo XT can also be paired with the Garmin zumo XT Group Ride Tracker (pictured right). Once installed the Garmin zumo XT Group Ride Tracker enables you to share your location, send pre-defined messages e.g. "On my way", "Meet me here", etc. You can also share live route tracking and create and join group rides with up to 20 other Garmin zumo XT users. The Garmin zumo XT, like all Garmin sat nav's, gets its speed camera data from the Cyclops speed camera database.
