These detailed maps cover countries such as Great Britain, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland, among many others in the Garmin TOPO map range. Ideal for hiking, walking, mountain biking, skiing, and other outdoor activities, these maps provide highly detailed information at scales from 1:50K to 1:25K.

The latest Garmin TOPO maps use the most accurate data available for each country. For example, Great Britain TOPO maps use Ordnance Survey (OS) data at 1:25K or 1:50K scale, while French TOPO maps use IGN data at 1:25K scale, giving you precise terrain, elevation, and route information.

For walking and hiking in Great Britain, owners of the Garmin GPSMAP H1 and H1i Plus have two map options:

1. Garmin TOPO Great Britain V3 PRO 1:25K SD/microSD card (pictured right)
2. Garmin TOPO Great Britain V3 PRO 1:50K SD/microSD card

Garmin GPSMAP H1 & H1i Plus GB Discoverer Maps

The Garmin GB Discoverer map series for Great Britain has been discontinued and replaced by the Garmin TOPO series (see the TOPO maps section above). The GB Discoverer series included over 60 individual map titles, each covering a specific National Park, National Trail, or scenic area, such as the Yorkshire Wolds Way, at a detailed 1:25K scale.

In comparison, the new Garmin TOPO Great Britain map at 1:25K scale now covers the entire country, removing the need to purchase multiple SD/microSD cards. However, if you are only planning to explore a single National Park or National Trail, buying just the relevant GB Discoverer map can be more cost-effective. For example, the 1:25K Rannoch and Loch Tay map provides detailed coverage of that specific area.

While most GB Discoverer map titles are now sold out, ActiveGPS still offers a limited selection of 1:25K scale maps. Currently available titles include Glyndwr's Way, Northumberland, Central Highlands, and Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path (pictured right).
