Sat nav features explained
Dual orientation - the dual orientation feature refers to the ability of the sat nav to rotate the screen viewing from landscape to portrait depending on how you decide to mount the sat nav in your car.
Map coverage - the Garmin DriveSmart 86, DriveCam 76, DriveSmart 76 and DriveSmart 66 are preloaded with UK and Europe mapping. The Garmin DriveSmart 55 and DriveSmart 51LMT-S NOH are preloaded with UK and Ireland mapping. Map updates are free for the lifetime of the device on every DriveSmart model. The Garmin Drive 8.8 and Drive 7.1 are preloaded with street-level maps of the UK and Europe, with map updates included over Wi-Fi.
Traffic information - traffic information is delivered via Bluetooth connection when connected to a compatible smartphone using the Garmin Drive App. Smartphone data is also required to receive the traffic information.
Speed camera alerts - most Garmin DriveSmart models include a built-in speed camera database free for the lifetime of the device. The Garmin DriveCam 76 requires the optional Cyclops speed camera database. The Garmin Drive 8.8 and Drive 7.1 include red light and speed camera warnings.
