The Garmin SteadyCast heading sensor is a simple, easy-to-install solution that provides fast calibration and premium heading accuracy for compatible Garmin ECHOMAP and Garmin GPSMAP chartplotters.

Once installed Garmin SteadyCast heading sensor aligns your boat bow to its actual orientation so you know where you are casting according to your Garmin chartplotters screen.

The Garmin SteadyCast heading sensor has a heading accuracy of plus or minus +/-3 degrees.

Once installed Garmin SteadyCast heading sensor aligns your boat bow to its actual orientation so you know where you are casting according to your Garmin chartplotters screen.

Accurate heading even at low speed or in rough waters

The Garmin SteadyCast heading sensor provides a heading output rate at 10Hz and accuracy of plus or minus 3 degrees. This helps to ensure your chart orientation and boat heading line match up with reality, even at trolling speeds or when dead in the water. In addition you can also be confident your heading information will remain accurate, even in rough water.

Easy Installation, Fast Calibration

Garmin SteadyCast heading sensor installs easily with NMEA 2000 plug-and-play interface and has a simple 2-step precision calibration process for compatible Garmin ECHOMAP and GPSMAP chartplotters. Basic calibration for Garmin ECHOMAP models and other NMEA 2000 displays is also supported. Its 9-axis MEMS technology allows installation in any orientation located away from magnetic interference, and it is built to withstand bilge environments.

Unlock MARPA vessel tracking

Add the Garmin SteadyCast Heading Sensor to a Garmin Radar System to stabilise the Radar image and unlock MARPA vessel tracking.

Radar Overlay:

The Garmin Steadycast heading sensor provides your Garmin MFD e.g. Garmin GPSMAP 8424 MFD with fast accurate heading data, allowing your radar returns to be viewed over the top of your navigation charts. This can give you maximum screen size, use on your MFD with GPS navigation and radar on the same full screen. This provides the benefit from having greater confidence in the accuracy of your charts when the radar paints the same markers and shorelines, helping you identify which radar returns are known charted objects and which are boats or other collision threats.

Optional Garmin BlueChart g3

If you'd like to add Garmin marine BlueCharts to your Garmin ECHOMAP or Garmin GPSMAP chartplotter you can do just that by buying and loading the latest Garmin BlueChart G3 and G3 Vision.

The charts come preloaded on microSD card together with a SD card adaptor. Simply insert the SD card into your compatible Garmin ECHOMAP or Garmin GPSMAP and you are ready to sail, cruise, etc, with the latest nautical Garmin charts.
