Using the suction cup mount enables you to mount your nuvi 2585TV to your windscreen. Alternatively using the dashmount disc together with the suction cup mount enables you to mount on top of your dashboard.

Garmin nuvi 2585TV Car Mount

Mounting options

The Garmin nuvi 2585TV suction cup mount comes with two different ways to mount your nuvi sat nav.

Windscreen mounting

Using the supplied cradle and windscreen suction cup mount, simply affix directly and firmly to your vehicles windscreen, thanks to the snap close design.

Dashboard mounting

In addition an adhesive round dash mount pad is also included when you buy from ActiveGPS. Simply pick a flat area on your vehicles dashboard and attach the mount disc directly onto your vehicles dash top ready for the suction cup mount.

Powering your Garmin nuvi 2585TV

To power and charge your Garmin nuvi 2585TV in your vehicle you will also need to buy the Garmin nuvi 2585TV vehicle power cable. The vehicle power cable doesn't plug into the suction cup mount cradle, but instead plugs directly into the Garmin nuvi 2585TV sat nav.

Alternatively, and if you'd like to receive (or continue to receive) traffic alerts, then you will need to the buy the FM Garmin GTM 36 FM Traffic Receiver. The GTM 36 includes a vehicle power cable for charging and powering the Garmin nuvi 2585TV and a built-in traffic receiver with lifetime subscription. The GTM 36 connects in the same way as the aforementioned vehicle power cable.
