Garmin inReach Messenger is a lightweight and compact satellite communicator that uses 100% global iridium satellite network is used to enable you to send and receive text messages even when out of range of the mobile phone network using the GPS signal (subscription required).

Use check-in messages to easily check in with contacts as you travel. When you need to be sure, the on-device display confirms that your message has been sent. In case of emergency, trigger an interactive SOS message to Garmin Response, a 24/7 staffed emergency response co-ordination centre.

The internal, rechargeable lithium battery gives you up to 28 days of battery life in 10-minute tracking mode, so you can do what you love longer between recharges.

The Garmin inReach Messenger is a small, rugged, lightweight satellite communicator which enables two-way text messaging even with no mobile phone (cell) coverage. The Garmin inReach Messenger is also impact resistant and water resistant to IPX7 standard. The Garmin inReach Messenger not only ulitilises GPS it also ulitilises the global iridium satellite network (satellite subscription required) to enable text messaging without the need for mobile network coverage.

To access the global Iridium network and communicate with your inReach Messenger satellite communicator, an active satellite subscription is required. You can opt for an annual package or a flexible month-to-month plan.

To use simply pair the Garmin inReach Messenger satellite communicator with the Garmin Messenger App on your compatible smartphone to text via satellite or mobile networks.

The Garmin inReach Messenger satellite communicator's high-end memory-in-pixel screen gives you the ability to confirm that messages have been sent, and you can even read responses right on the device.
