Garmin Camper 890 features a bright, 8-inch touchscreen. Simply enter the size and weight of your camper or caravan and you will only be routed along appropriate roads for your particular vehicles dimensions and weight (you can also save your favourite profiles for use across multiple vehicles). Live Traffic via Smartphone App will warn you of traffic congestion in the road ahead and your Garmin Camper 890 can also provide you with another alternative route to avoid waiting in a traffic jam.

The Garmin Camper 890 can also be paired with the Garmin BC35 reversing camera (sold separately) to enable you to see what is behind your vehicle as you reverse it to park or turn your caravan or motorhome around.

Motorhome campsites from ACSI and Campercontact and free stop-over places from Trailer's PARK all feature on a large database which is included installed on the Camper 890. When selecting the best camper stop you can filter by price, amenities and more. The Garmin Camper 890 sat nav will also show rest areas and other amenities coming up along your route. Further Points of Interest are provided by TripAdvisor, Foursquare and more.

WiFi connectivity is built-in to the device to make map and software updates quick and easy without the need for a connection to a computer. When used with a compatible smartphone you can use hands-free calling and smart notifications. Voice-activated navigation is also included for contol of your sat nav whilst you car driving.

A speed camera database is also included to warn you as you approach a speed camera location. The speed camera database is provided by Cyclops. Furthermore the speed limit will also feature on screen helping you to avoid speeding fines and penalty points on your driving licence. Included are the following speed cameras: Fixed speed cameras, average speed cameras, variable speed cameras, temporary/roadwork cameras, red light speed cameras, mobile camera sites and school zones.

Road warnings are also provided for steep grades (including elevation information), sharp curves, weight limits and more.

The Garmin Drive app is available with a compatible smartphone to access live traffic, advanced traffic and more.

The Garmin Camper 890, like all Garmin sat nav's, gets its speed camera data from the Cyclops speed camera database. The database provides advanced alerts to fixed, average speed, mobile, variable, temporary roadwork, red light and red light speed cameras. As you approach a camera, your device sounds an alert. Installation

Garmin Camper 890 is powered via the supplied 12/24 volt vehicle power cable, the unit is then mounted on the windscreen via the supplied suction cup mount.

Charging the internal battery

We do not recommend using a third party charger with this product. A mobile phone USB charger or a laptop may not be powerful enough to reliably charge the Garmin Camper 890 and may provide an incorrect voltage or insufficient power. An official genuine Garmin AC charger is available for indoor use with this product.

Please bear in mind that the product on this page is designed to be used in a vehicle with power provided by the included vehicle charger. The battery is for short term back up only - not for regular use. For optimum performance we recommend that you use this product connected to cigarette lighter adapter via the vehicle charger. Because of potential power surges which may damage the product you should not start your vehicle with the product connected.

Garmin Camper 890 is preloaded with detailed City Navigator street maps for Europe provided from map supplier 'here'. Rolling screen transition, accelerated map redraw and routing capabilities make screen zooming even smoother and ensure the navigation always matches your pace. In addition you have access to free map downloads via Garmin Express for North America, South America, Australia and New Zealand, South Africa, the Middle East and North Africa.
