Upgrade your Garmin Tread with an 8-inch screen (Garmin Tread - SxS Edition) or 10-inch screen (Garmin Tread XL - Overland Edition) off-road sat nav with the Group Ride accessorory. Once installed on your motorbike and connected to your Garmin Tread Group Ride Tracker enables you to share your location, send pre-defined messages e.g. "On my way", "Meet me here", etc. You can also share live route tracking and create and join group rides with up to 20 other Garmin Tread sat nav users also using the Group Ride accessory within a 2-4 mile radius.

The Garmin Tread Group Ride Tracker uses VHF radio frequencies, no mobile phone coverage is needed. Range performance varies based on the terrain and other line-of-sight limits. Below are some examples of typical perfomance:

‣Dense wooded areas - .25-.75miles
‣Sand dunes - 1-2miles
‣Open countryside / grass land - 2-4miles

A wireless headset can also be paired with the Garmin Tread to transmit your voice over the radio.
