The Garmin Quatix is the only GPS-enabled marine navigation wrist watch with LCD screen that also features altimeter, barometer, 3-axis compass and temperature sensor. The watch can help you when starting a race using the virtual start line feature which ensures you are going at the maximum speed when you cross the start line. It is waterproof to 50 meters and will also provide you with tide charts.
When you connect the Quatix to a Garmin chartplotter (which requires the GNT 10 NMEA transceiver) it can relay important information to the wrist watch such as wind speed, direction and water depth. Furthermore if you fall overboard it will alert the chartplotter (requires the GNT 10).
