Using the suction cup mount enables you to mount your nuvi 3598 to your windscreen.

Garmin nuvi 3598 Car Mount

Mount your Garmin nuvi 3598 5-inch screen sat nav on your vehicles windscreen the easy way, by buying this authentic Garmin accessory that has been designed specifically for the nuvi 3598LMT-D.

How to use the mount

Mounting your Garmin nuvi 3598 to your vehicles windscreen is easy. In the box (when you buy from ActiveGPS) you will find two parts:

‣Magnetic mount (2)
‣Suction cup mount (3)

Simply press the mount (2) onto the suction cup (3) until it snaps into place, the Garmin logo on the mount should face right-side up. You can also reverse this process to detach the two parts. Why would you want to detach? See 'Alternative mounting options' further down this page.

Next, press the suction cup to the windscreen, and flip the lever (4) back toward the windscreen, and place the back of your nuvi 3598 onto the magnetic mount.

Finally, to power your Garmin nuvi 3598LMT-D simply plug the vehicle power cable (1) which is sold separately, into the mini USB port located on the corner of the magnetic mount.

Powering your Garmin nuvi 3598

To power and charge your Garmin nuvi 3598LMT-D in your vehicle you will also need to buy the Garmin nuvi 3598 vehicle power cable. The vehicle power cable doesn't plug into the suction cup mount cradle, but instead plugs directly into the nuvi 3598 sat nav.

Alternatively, and if you'd like to receive (or continue to receive) traffic alerts, then you will need to the buy the Garmin GTM 36 FM Traffic Receiver. The GTM 36 includes a vehicle power cable for charging and powering the nuvi 3598 and a built-in traffic receiver with lifetime subscription. The GTM 36 connects in the same way as the aforementioned vehicle power cable.

Alternative mounting options

By using the unit mount/cradle supplied with the Garmin nuvi 3598 suction cup mount you can also use it with either of the following two mounting options. Neither of the mounting options below include the nuvi 3598 magnetic cradle.

Portable friction mount
