The Garmin Dash Cam Live is the latest dash cam from Garmin and new for 2023. The Garmin Dash Cam Live features a first for Garmin Dash Cams - it has the ability to be always connected to your smartphone*. This 'Live' aspect provides anytime access to live view, location tracking, thefts alerts and parking guard notifications (parking guard feature requires Parking mode cable) directly from the Garmin Dash Cam Live to the Garmin Drive app on your smartphone. *Please note: Garmin LTE subscription is required to access Garmin Dash Cam Live view feature.

Garmin Dash Cam Live records in 1440p HD video with a wide 140-degree lens and Garmin Clarity HDR optics provides crisp detail day and night. Instant playback and menu operation is via the Garmin Dash Cam Live's 2.95-inch colour TFT display.

Once plugged into your vehicle's power source (hardwired, USB port or cigarette lighter socket) the Garmin Dash Cam Live continually records in a loop, so you can just set it up and forget about it. In addition your videos are stored free of charge for 24 hours (from time of recording) when using the Garmin DriveApp with your compatible smartphone.

Voice control makes everything easier with hands-free spoken commands e.g. "OK, Garmin" to save a recording to the SD card.

Time and GPS location date is syncronised with the video to make it easy to find and play videos.

When the Garmin Dash Cam Live has an active LTE subscription (subscription sold directly by Garmin) you can access live view from the Garmin Dash Cam Live anytime when using the Garmin Drive app. Saved videos are stored securely in the online Vault and can be accessed by using the Garmin Drive app on your smartphone. In addtiona location tracking of your Garmin Dash Cam Live anytime when using the Garmin Drive app. When your Garmin Dash Cam Live detects an incident affecting your parked vehicle, you'll receive a notification in the Garmin Drive app, with a video clip of the detected incident. Please note: All 'Live' features require an active LTE subscription.

The Garmin Dash Cam Live is built to withstand harsh vehicle environments, including direct sunlight and hot interior temperatures.

Installation

The Garmin Dash Cam Live is designed to be located on the front windscreen of your vehicle using the supplied Low-profile magnetic adhesive mount. Powering options within the Garmin Dash Cam Live box include the Garmin Dash Cam Live Dual USB power adapter and 8 metre vehicle power cable.

If you would like to hardwire the Garmin Dash Cam Live to your vehicles' electrical supply you have two options. Option 1. purchase separately or additionally the Garmin Dash Cam Live Parking Mode Cable, this cable also enables the Parking Guard feature. Option 2. purchase separately or additionally the Garmin Dash Cam Live Constant Power Cable (pictured right). Please note: some vehicles will require the Constant Power Cable to run continuous power to your Garmin Dash Cam Live. Plug into your vehicle's OBD2 port to run power to the Garmin Dash Cam Live, even when your vehicle is parked and turned off.
