When paired with a compatible high-end Garmin fitness device the Run heart rate monitor enables you to monitor your heart rate whilst you are training, working out or doing any sporting activity such as cycling, skiing, running, etc.

The heart rate monitor is designed to be worn around your chest during activity. When worn it will wirelessly transmit within a 3 metre radius to a compatible Garmin device so you can monitor your heart rate.

Garmin HRM-Run Heart Rate Sensor

The Garmin HRM-Run heart rate monitor provides the most advanced running metrics for high-end Garmin running watches e.g. Garmin Forerunner 920XT among other compatible Garmin devices.

Worn as a comfortable chest strap the Run heart rate monitor wirelessly sends heart rate information to connected compatible Garmin wristmounted devices whilst you are exercising. This information can then be viewed on the screen of your Garmin device and downloaded to your PC*.

*Depending on the features and specifications of the Garmin device that you are using the heart rate monitor with.

The battery life is approximately 1 year based on a usage of 1 hour per day.

HRM-Run provides six running dynamics metrics:

1. Cadence - number of steps per minute.

2. Vertical oscillation - degree of 'bounce' in your running motion; displays the vertical motion of your torso, measured in centimeters for each step.

3. Ground contact time - amount of time in each step that you spend on the ground while running; measured in milliseconds.

4. Ground contact time balance - displays the left/right balance of your ground contact time while running (displays a percentage); for example, 53.2 with an arrow pointing left or right.

5. Stride length - length of your stride from 1 footfall to the next; measured in meters.

6. Vertical ratio - ratio of vertical oscillation to stride length (displays a percentage); a lower number typically indicates better running form.

This real-time data can help athletes take their performance to the next level by showing them where they can improve their running form.
