BlackVue vehicle driver recorder systems now stocked by ActiveGPS - 10th December 2013

We now stock the BlackVue range of in car camera systems. All BlackVue systems feature GPS technology and top-of-the-range models also have WiFi. The DR500GW features a twin camera for recording both at the front and rear of the vehicle. All BlackVue in car camera systems feature a mode for when your vehicle is parked so that it detects motion and starts recording.

Snooper DVR-2HD in stock and save £30 - 3rd December 2013

Snooper's 2nd generation driver recording system is in stock now, named the Snooper DVR-2HD. The DVR-2HD follows on from the DVR-1 and unlike the older model it now includes 1280 x 720p HD recording. The DVR-2HD now also records a wider angle of the road ahead at 130 degrees compared with 120 degrees with the DVR-1. The new unit is 5mm wider and 5mm taller than the DVR-1. It also includes all the features of the previous DVR-1 such as parking mode and it will record date, time and speed also. Voice menu prompts now replace a buzzer for the menu system.

New Road Angel Gem+ and Gem+ Deluxe in stock - 28th November 2013

Road Angel's latest speed camera locator has just arrived into stock. Replacing the Gem and Gem Deluxe, the brand new Gem+ or Gem Plus includes extra features including: vehicle specific alerts mode, compass, KPH or MPH speedometer, improved screen and speaker, among other features.

New Garmin City Navigator NTU Pan-Africa sat nav map - 13th August 2013

There's a new addition to the Garmin City Navigator NT sat nav map series Pan-Africa! The new map comes on microSD inside a SD card converter and then inserts into compatible Garmin products that accept City Navigator NT maps e.g. the Garmin nuvi and zumo series. Before the release of the map, you had the choice of several African maps including Southern Africa and Eastern Africa, now for the first time you can travel almost the entire continent with just one SD/micro card. New Garmin marine GPS standalone chartplotters - 5th August 2013

Four new marine GPS charplotters are now available and in stock. The very latest models from Garmin are the 5-inch screen GPSMAP 557 and 557xs and 7-inch screen GPSMAP 751 and 751xs.

All four models are preloaded with BlueChart g2 UK and Ireland marine cartography charts. Plus all four are enabled with Bluetooth and Wifi connectivity a Garmin first in their Marine GPS product range. Models ending xs also have the ability to measure depth and help find fish when used with a compatible transducer. Please see the products pages for more information.

New Garmin nuvi Air Vent Mount - 2nd August 2013

A simple easy alternative to dash or windscreen mounting.

Mount your Garmin nuvi sat nav a different way. In the past you've had the choice of various dashmounts and of course the windscreen suction cup mount. Now for the first time Garmin are offering an alternative - the Air Vent Mount.

Designed to fit all Garmin nuvi sat navs with the exception of the large 7-inch systems. All you need is your nuvi's (e.g. nuvi 710) cradle/unit holder, which can be easily detached from the suction cup mount. Then using the Air Vent Mount simply attach your nuvi's cradle/unit holder, pick a suitable place on your vehicles air vent and clip and tighten the new mount in place.

Garmin Oregon 600 and 650 series accessories and maps added to ActiveGPS - 22nd July 2013

Garmin's latest handheld offering the Oregon 600 series accessories are now available to buy from ActiveGPS. Parts include a soft carrying case, bike, car and even boat mounts as well as numerous cables to power and charge the Oregon's internal battery.

Mapping is also available and the Oregon 600 series which models include the 600, 600t, 650 and 650t is fully compatible as you'd expect with Garmin GB Discoverer, TOPO, BlueChart and City Navigator maps. Snooper DB8500 and S8000 accessories are now available to buy and are in stock - 18th July 2013

Snoopers latest satellite navigation offering includes the top-of-the range DB8500 and S8000 models. The products have been available for a while but now for the first time the accessories are also available to buy from ActiveGPS. Parts include carry cases, car and mains chargers, windscreen mounts and lots more. You can view the Snooper DB8500 accessories and Snooper S8000 accessories. The two ranges encompass and are compatible with the Syrius (car), Truckmate (truck/HGV) and Ventura (motorhome/caravan) sat nav models e.g. Snooper DB8500 Pro Sound Truckmate.

TomTom Rider V5 (2013) accessories - 20th June 2013

Accessories for the TomTom Rider V5 are now available to buy from ActiveGPS. Parts available include the bike mount kit, anti-theft solution, carry case and car mount kit. Road Angel Gem - Auto Express Best Speed Camera Detector Winner 2013 - 14th June 2013

The Road Angel Gem has for a second year running taken the No. 1 spot as the best speed camera detector in Auto Express's annual Best Speed Camera Locator award. In total eight speed camera locators were tested including locator apps - to find out which is the best to help you stay within speed limits.

On the winning Road Angel Gem Auto Express said "The GEM is an incredibly easy-to-use speed camera locator from Road Angel. There’s a simple full-colour display, clearly labeled buttons and a mount with a degree of adjustment. It could tell whether cameras were on our side of the road or not, and we were able to report missing cameras. It gave good vocal warnings in plenty of time, as well as visual guidance. New ProNav truck sat range PNN 350 and PNN 420 - 13th June 2013

ProNav's latest offering for drivers of HGV, lorries and other large vehicles is now available from ActiveGPS. The new range comprises of two models the PNN 350 (with UK and Ireland or Western European mapping versions) and the PNN 420 (with UK and Ireland maps). The PNN 420 also includes a first for safety on the roads in Central London, with a feature that alerts you when you come within 50 metres of a high cyclist risk zone with data from Transport for London (TfL). It is also possible to plan your journey on the TfL website and then download the route directly to the ProNav 420. Both devices also offer optional fleet tracking from £12.95 per month.

New Garmin nuvi car sat nav range - 12th June 2013

The latest range of Garmin nuvi car sat nav are now in stock. The range comprises of a first for a Gamrin nuvi model with the nuvi 2797LMT which features an extra large and wide 7-inch touchscreen display. The range also includes smaller 4.3-inch touchscreen sat navs in the new nuvi 2400 models like the nuvi 2447 and 2407. 5-inch screen models include the 2547LMT and 2597 LMT. LMT models also include FREE lifetime sat nav map updates and FREE lifetime traffic updates - saving you money and helping to keep your sat nav up-to-date! Mio Cyclo accessories - 28th May 2013

To accompany Mio's latest Cyclo bike navigator range we are pleased to present a range of compatible accessories - which are now in stock. Accessories includes carry cases, bike and car mount, mains and car chargers and for models like the Cyclo 105, 305 and 505 there's also heart rate monitors and speed cadence sensors available too. Though before buying extra accessoires and parts it's worth checking what's in the box (when buying a new cycle Cyclo sat nav) as some bundle packs include the extra accessories with the original purchase. New Mio Cyclo bike navigators now in stock - 23rd May 2013

Mio (car sat nav manufacturer) have just released a range of sat navs and training devices for use specifically on a bicycle. The waterproof range named Cyclo is made up of five models - the top of the range Wifi enabled model Cyclo 505 includes street-level road maps (UK/Ireland or Western Europe), barometric altimeter and E-compass. Other models include Cyclo 305, 300 both of which are preloaded with maps. While the Cyclo 105 and 100 don't include sat nav maps, instead provide essential training information such as time, speed, distance, height and calorie consumption. New TomTom RIDER V5 Europe motorbike sat nav - 7th May 2013

TomTom's latest sat nav for use on a motorbike is now in stock. Named the TomTom Rider V5, it is the latest forth edition of the motorcycle navigator and the first TomTom Rider model to feature a wide 4.3-inch touchscreen (all previous models featured a smaller 3.5-inch display) and includes preloaded maps for Europe.

Garmin zumo 340LM motorcycle navigation system - 7th May 2013

Complete with the same features as the Garmin zumo 350LM motorbike sat nav, the zumo 340LM has just been released by Garmin. The Difference? The 350 includes full European maps, while the 340 includes just Western European sat nav map coverage. Both models include FREE lifetime map updates. View the Garmin zumo 340LM.

Garmin Edge 510 and 810 cycling GPS fitness products - 19th April 2013

The latest Garmin Edge cycling GPS fitness training products are now available from ActiveGPS. The two models Edge 510 and Edge 810 both provide ride data, while the more advanced Edge 810 also accepts and displays mapping as well e.g. City Navigator road maps. There are also serveral speical bundle packs available with extra accessories and maps. These extra accessories include the speed cadence sensor and heart rate monitor. Garmin GB Discoverer 'discontinued maps' - 12th April 2013

A number of the GB Discoverer maps are no longer being manufactured by Garmin. Although we have limited stock of most maps, some are already completely sold out. All maps marked 'Low Stock' on the products pages are still available to buy from ActiveGPS. However we have five or less of each map in stock. In some cases we have just one (as of 12th April 2013). To avoid disappointment buy now while stocks last. Plan ahead for a future trip in 2015 or 2016. When they're gone, they're gone... there won't be any more.

Garmin map update revised and new 2013.41 now in stock - 5th April 2013

After an issue with some 2013.40 map updates, Garmin have released a further update: version 2013.41. This very latest version is now in stock for UK and Ireland, more countries are expected to be available in the coming days. View all the latest Garmin satellite navigation mapping updates.

The Pogo Alert Plus v4 is now currently out of stock, Road Angel have advised that new stock will be available a the end of March. Pre-order the Pogo Alert+ now to guarantee you get yours as soon as it comes back into stock. Your credit/debit card won't be charged until the Pogo Alert+ is ready to despatch.

New Garmin sat nav map update version 2013.40 now in stock - 15th March 2013

The latest Garmin City Navigator NT street-level roads maps have started to filter into stock. This is the latest 2013.40 version. So far we have 2013.40 sat nav mapping updates for UK and Ireland, France and Benelux and Spain and Portugal. These maps are ideally suited for road navigation units such as the Garmin nuvi and zumo range. But will also work with any Garmin device which supports the City Navigator NT maps e.g. Edge 800, GPSMAP 62st amd Montana series. View the latest Garmin sat nav mapping updates.

Snooper Ventura models S2500 and AVN S9000 added to ActiveGPS - 15th March 2013

Snooper AVN S9000 Ventura Pro and S2500 Ventura Pro sat nav models now available to buy from ActiveGPS. Both models are designed for use in a caravan or motorhome and provide street-level navigation. The Double DIN AVN S9000 Pro needs to be built-in to a dashboard, whereas the S2500 Pro is fully portable plug and play device andcan be moved from car to car with ease.

New Snooper Truckmate S2500 Pro available to buy - 6th March 2013
