TomTom RIDER 500 motorcycle sat navcomes supplied with preloaded full European mapping (Eastern and Western Europe maps). You can make and receive calls using Bluetooth and a compatible smartphone. The TomTom Rider 500 screen is 4.3-inch touchscreen and is glove-friendly with options to select for use (choose between 2 thicknesses of gloves being used - winter glove and summer gloves).

Plan routes with MyDrive software. Share your routes with friends and family using email, social media or GPX files.

We offer UK, Europe and Worldwide deliveries. We despatch orders at 5.30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We need to receive your order on those days by 4.30pm. TomTom RIDER 500 is a motorcycle sat nav with a 4.3-inch touchscreen. Furthermore the touchscreen sensitivity can be altered for different thickness of gloves you are wearing (summer vs. winter gloves). It is waterproof to IPX7 standard to operate correctly in wet conditions (the touchscreen will work in wet conditions too). TomTom RIDER 500 is also drop-resistant. You are also able to buy an optional headset to receive directional instructions spoken to you by the TomTom RIDER satnav.

The built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery enables up to 6 hours autonomous operation. Bluetooth provides hands free calling and data exchange. WiFi is also available for software and map updates.

The TomTom RIDER 500 includes Lifetime European or Worldwide Maps depending on whether you are buying the Rider 500 (European maps) or Rider 550 (Worldwide maps). You will have free access to update the map 4 times every year for the lifetime of the TomTom satnav product for as along as it is supported by TomTom.

Ride challenge levels enable you to choose your journey. Elevation and cornering levels for winding and hilly roads preference selection. The options are low, mid and high whereby you will be routed automatically based upon your choice of type of roads.

Fast quad-core processor is now used in the TomTom RIDER 500 for quick start-up loading time.

You can view the TomTom RIDER 500 in portrait view or landscape view.

Plan your route on MyDrive and share it easily with your friends and family (via Bluetooth or WiFi) by email, social media or GPX file. Select personalised waypoints and more. MyDrive is Windows and Mac Compatible.

Compatible with Siri and Google Now the TomTom RIDER 500 will read out and reply to messages Text-To-Speech (TTS). The TomTom will also make calls and play music and handsfree calling with Bluetooth - simply use your voice to make calls to anyone in your contact list

When not on a call, the headset (not included) lets you hear navigational directions while keeping your eyes on the road. Stay connected for calls, messages, music and more.

Optional car, suction cup mount is available to use the TomTom RIDER 500 in a car and many other vehicles.

Installation

On bike installation

The TomTom RIDER 500 includes everything you need to mount and install it on the handlebar of most motorbikes. Included when you purchase from ActiveGPS is a RAM mount designed to attach onto the handlebar of your motorcycle. Once this is fitted, a unique TomTom RIDER 500 motorcycle mount which is also included can be fitted to the RAM mount. You're then ready to ride with the TomTom RIDER 500.

In-car installation

A car kit is available separately. It is also included when buying the TomTom Rider 550 Premium Pack. Simply position the automotive mount on your vehicles windscreen using the suction cup mount and power via your vehicles cigarette lighter adaptor and you are ready to use the motorcycle sat nav in your car.

When you buy the TomTom RIDER 500 from ActiveGPS it comes preloaded with the following detailed Full European (Eastern and Western Europe) street-level road maps (unless otherwise specified as a percentage %):
