Use your compatible Garmin cycling, fitness or handheld device to measure your speed and cadence when you use your Garmin device on your road or mountain bike.
Simply connect the Garmin Speed Cadence (GSC) sensor to your bike and it will wirelessly send reports of your pedalling strokes per minute to the screen of your compatible Garmin device.
Please note: When using the speed/cadence bike sensor GSC 10 with the Garmin Colorado, Oregon, Montana, Dakota or GPSMAP 62/78 series it will ONLY report cadence. Your speed is not recorded or shown.

Garmin Speed/Cadence Sensor (GSC 10) has been discontinued.
A replacement Garmin Bike Speed Sensor and Cadence Sensor is available, however the new speed/cadence is ONLY compatible with Garmin devices that feature ANT+ connectivity.
Garmin Speed/Cadence Sensor (GSC 10)
Are you a keen cyclist? Would you like to monitor your performance and view your speed and cadence on your compatible Garmin units screen? Well you can do exactly that if you buy and fit the Garmin Speed/Cadence (GSC 10) sensor.
However, please note depending on the Garmin model you own not all features are available. To get the full benefits and features of the speed and cadence sensor you'd need to use it with either a compatible Garmin Edge, Forerunner or Foretrex model.
When using the speed and cadence sensor with a Garmin Colorado, Oregon, Montana Dakota or GPSMAP series model, you will ONLY be able to view cadence data and NOT speed data.
Setting up and installing the speed/cadence sensor is easy, with all the parts and fixing ties needed included with the pack when purchased from ActiveGPS.
To install the speed and cadence sensor requires you to install three parts these are:
1. Spoke magnet - attaches to a spoke of your bikes rear wheel.
2. Pedal magnet - attaches to the crank arm of your pedal.
3. Speed and cadence sensor (GSC 10) - attaches in between the two magnets on the chain stay tube of your bikes frame (on the side opposite the drive train).

A CR2032 battery (which is included) is required to power the speed and cadence sensor (GSC 10). The approximate battery life is 1.4 years with an average use of 1 hour per day.
Replacement batteries can be purchased and exchanged over by simply removing the battery cover on the GSC 10 speed and cadence sensor and taking out the old battery.

The speed cadence sensor is NOT compatible with the Edge Touring or Touring Plus models.
