The Garmin GPSMAP 620 and GPSMAP 640 portable friction mount works simply by sitting on top of your dashboard without using any adhesives. Therefore it doesn't leave a mark and can be removed from your vehicle or out of sight of would be thieves in seconds.

The weighted mount with non-skid base moulds to your vehicles dashboard ensuring your Garmin GPSMAP 620 or GPSMAP 640 is held securely in place.

Please note: Your Garmin GPSMAP 620 and GPSMAP 640 mount cradle is also required to complete the installation and clicks into place on the portable friction mounts ball joint on the end of arm (see photos).

Please note: Before using your GPSMAP 620/640 on the road for street-level navigation, you will need to buy and load Garmin City Navigator NT maps available from ActiveGPS on microSD card.

Optional Street-level road maps

If you'd like to add street-level road maps to your Garmin GPSMAP 620 or GPSMAP 640 you can do just that by buying and installing Garmin City Navigator NT maps.

The maps come preloaded on microSD card together with a SD card adaptor. Simply insert the SD card into your Garmin GPSMAP 620 or GPSMAP 640 and drive, walk or ride with the latest street-level sat nav maps.
